Thank you for visiting "Dino Tail." I am S.Kanazawa, the operator and manager of this site.
Ever since I was captivated by the massive skeletons I saw in picture books as a child, I have been drawn into the world of dinosaurs and other prehistoric life.
I am still thrilled by the discovery of new fossils and the process by which past "common sense" is overturned by research. This site is a place where my interest and inquisitive mind for dinosaurs have taken shape.

Motivation and Thoughts Behind Starting the Site
When I started the site in 2003, there wasn't as much comprehensive dinosaur information on the internet as there is today. The "Dino Tail" site began as a kind of memorandum to summarize and organize the information I wanted to know myself, including the dinosaur stamps I had been collecting.
Since then, many years have passed, and dinosaur science has made dramatic progress.
The existence of feathered dinosaurs has become a certainty, and facts that could only be imagined in the past, such as the restoration of body colors and the elucidation of growth rates, are being revealed one after another. Every year, many dinosaurs are excavated, and new knowledge is accumulated thanks to technological advancements.
At this site, "Dino Tail," my goal is to "convey these latest news and theories as clearly as possible, and without spoiling the 'romance' of dinosaurs."
We have prepared a variety of content such as encyclopedias, columns, study sections, and game corners so that everyone from beginners to dinosaur fans can enjoy it. Through this site, I hope as many people as possible will get to know the fascinating world of the creatures that ruled the ancient Earth.
